Dr. Antonio Cózar Alonso completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Malaga. He later completed a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology at the University of Cadiz.
His therapeutic model is integrative, combining different approaches in his approach.
After training in cognitive behavioral therapy, he became interested in trauma and attachment therapy. This led him to train in EMDR therapy, and he currently holds levels I and II accredited by the Spanish EMDR Institute and the Imaya Institute.
In addition to clinical problems and disorders, he has also trained in social issues such as gender equality, immigration, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked in various associations and private clinics, providing individual and group therapy to adults with a wide range of problems and symptoms.
He remains constantly training to stay up-to-date and offer quality service. This allows him to tailor the type of intervention to each person according to their characteristics and needs, in order to promote optimal mental health.
For him, it is especially important to establish a bond of trust with the person who comes for consultation, so that they feel in a safe and judgment-free space.
He will help you become aware of the influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences have on your present, and begin to empower and develop resources and skills to make a change toward your well-being.
If you would like to begin your therapeutic process, he will be happy to be your guide and accompany you along the way.
